| The earlier report of the Rainbow Fellowship being disbanded was in error - they are now meeting in members' homes in an effort to even out drive times to the services. | |||||
| July 10, 2005 Our name is a reflection of the promise of God's love and hope for the future given through the rainbow. We believe that God accepts and loves everyone for who they are. Rainbow Fellowship of Lima, Ohio welcomes persons who do not feel welcome or accepted in other religious instirutions. We provide a place for worship, support and fellowship with others of like minds. We believe discrimination of any form is wrong and inconsistant with God as understood through the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, Martin Luther King, Jr., Ghandi, Muhammad, Yahweh and many others. Though our backgrounds and pasts vary greatly, we are in complete agreement that humankind must end discrimination in all its forms. We live our lives to the best of our abilities and avoid all froms of discrimination. We also must confront others that use discrimination as a means of control or power over others, in order to bring about a fairer and better world for all. |
