Present were MD, Robin, and I. Adaline was required to work overtime at her job.
MD had copies of the finished by-laws. We went over them and made a few changes for consistency. MD reported that Rick Siferd had looked at them and didn’t find any legal problems, but he (Rick) didn’t think by-laws were necessary at this point. Of course, we’re looking at the future, including when we have some real money and a store. We will take a final vote on the By-laws as a whole next month. (There is one change I want to make.)
Robin created a Welcome Sheet and brought copies for us to look at. It was very nice and a necessary thing to do. It familiarizes new members with the way we do things. We made one or two changes to it, but it was an excellent document. I think all members should have one, whether old or new.
Robin had a copy of an article that she handed out. We talked about a segment on ABCNews about organic foods.
We decided we can vote on the by-laws by email, and it should be open, so when we vote, we should hit "reply to all".
The next meeting is Sat., Dec. 3, 2005.
