Adaline shared emails from her to United about catalogs not being mailed to Aimee, Jeremy and Robin.
Speaking of catalogs, United charges us $1 per month per member who is receiving catalogs. [I think Adaline adds this to our order.] Members who are receiving catalogs but not ordering are not paying this fee, and the club is paying this each month for them. How should we handle this? We could have each member pay for a year’s subscription when they join, but we have the problem of members not getting catalogs, and there’s also the problem of two or three months’ lead time before the subscription paperwork is done at United. Any other ideas? We will talk about it at the next meeting.
We have an extra charge of $31 on our last United order, which Adaline paid, but we don’t know what it’s for. Adaline will contact United for an explanation.
There’s a pricing discrepancy that affects just Adaline’s and Aimee’s orders, as far as Adaline can tell. She is going to straighten it out between her, Aimee, and United.
Adaline is going to put our finances in apple-pie order, and then Aimee will take over her treasurer’s duties.
MD is disappointed in the turn-out for painting our room upstairs. The only ones who showed up were MD, me, and Kerry who isn’t even a member.
Jeremy didn’t call people to remind them of the meeting. Adaline will talk to him about it.
Our meeting wasn’t announced in the Community Calendar in the Lima News. Adaline will talk to Dr. Kay about it.
There aren’t any events coming up that we could use for publicity, so Adaline is going to talk to Twyla . Twyla had offered to do a story about us for the Lima News.
Adaline asked about handing out flyers at the Square Fair. We decided not to, but I suggested that she could put brochures at the Chamber of Commerce.
Adaline mentioned the Allen County 2020 organization. She thinks we ought to be represented there. She will ask Robin to represent us.
Adaline wants to work on by-laws, but MD is uncomfortable doing so with just Adaline, MD and me present. Working on the by-laws is tabled until next meeting, but Adaline is going to email everyone saying that we WILL work on the by-laws next month, no matter how many people attend. MD is happy with that.
Scheduling the next painting day is tabled until later when we can figure out the best time. We will email everyone about it. Adaline says Abby will help paint.
